Born August 17, 1931 in Lau Thuong, Hac Tri, Phu Tho, Vinh Phu Province, North Vietnam. Studied under master To Ngoc Van from 1950-1954. Graduated from the School of Art of Vietnam in 1954. Held solo exhibitions in Ha Noi and Hai Phong City in 1956, 1957, 1960, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1970 and 1985. Held solo exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City in 1980, 1985, 1989, 1993, 1994… Participated in many nation-wide joint exhibitions in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. Held the following foreign exhibitions: Peking (1957), Laureate of the Vienna Biennal V (1959)Budapest (1960), Prague (1960), Berlin (1964), Bucarest (1968), Moscow (1958, 1990), Warsaw (1958, 1960, 1985), Paris (1980).
