Nguyen Khac Vinh (or Duy Nien) was born in 1924 in Hanoi.

Graduated from the Fine Arts College of Indochina in 1946.

When still a student some of his works were selected for display in exhibitions in China, France, and Italy.

His paintings were exhibited annually from 1946, and presented in many private collections in Vietnam and abroad.
